When I started my career in real estate in 2010 I really didn’t know where it would lead me. I had been a Registered Nurse for 15 years and real estate was a big career change. I hoped I was ready for everything this career had to offer. 15 years and hundreds of home sales later, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else with my life!
I feel I have enjoyed success in real estate because people are my passion. I love meeting new people and helping them with their real estate needs. In the past 15 years I am proud to say I have earned 10 centurian awards as well as 2 double centurian awards and have earned a spot in the Century 21 Masters Hall of Fame. In my past life as an RN I cared for people in their best times (Maternity) as well as their darkest (Emergency and Palliative care). These experiences have helped make me the person I am today – caring, compassionate and empathetic to the needs of others.
I have a busy life outside of real estate as well – I am a mom to 4 great kids – Mackenzie (26,) Spencer (24), Tanner (21) and Leah (17). In 2024 I married the absolute joy and love of my life, Keith Shand, and I am now a bonus mom to Isabel (24), Clara (22), Tate (20) and Tess (18). We enjoy travelling when we can and I spend a lot of time at various hockey rinks watching both my daughter & husband play. We attend musical concerts that both of our youngest daughters perform in as well. I am a former piano teacher and love listening to my children play their various instruments. We are also avid motorcycle riders (I am a passenger but love it just the same) & we enjoy camping & spending time with friends.
My family and I have lived in Airdrie from 2006 to 2023, so over the years I have built a busy real estate practice in Airdrie, with over 520 sales in Airdrie to date (Jan. 2025). Prior to Airdrie we lived for many years in Didsbury, so I am also well versed in selling there as well as other small towns including Crossfield, Carstairs, Acme and Irricana. Calgary is also familiar to me and I occasionally list and sell there as well. My current home is Crossfield.
